Square Feet

The Recycle Transfer Station and Office Building project consisted of a 1,200 sq. ft. office area, with a private conference room, and a 13,570 sq. ft. warehouse with tip floor and pit floor.

The project was constructed for a recycling program managed by the Pasco County Solid Waste Department. It included 100 tons of steel, fabricated, and erected by Trias Construction, as well as 3,400 cubic yards of concrete.

This Pasco County Recycle Transfer Station was constructed to provide a convenient location to dispose of limited quantities of solid waste materials for residents on the west side of the county.

At this facility, municipal solid waste is dropped off, compacted, and loaded onto transport vehicles for shipment to landfills or other disposal treatment operations.

Push walls are located at each end of the tipping floor and are used to fully load waste buckets. The 12” push walls are made of concrete, integrated with the structural loads of the metal buildings, and partially encapsulated with steel plates. This allows the loaders to push the walls without damaging the metal building.
